Parrots in Captivity is a leading series of prints and reference to parrots, parakeets, macaws, lories, cockatoos and other exotic species by W. T. Greene, M.A., M.D., F.Z.S. Additional notes are provided by the Hon. and Rev. F.G. Dutton.

The series s recognized for its beautiful color plates. At the time of printing during 1884 to 1887, Greene did not credit the illustrator, though the general accreditation is to (or after) A. F. Lydon. (Sitwell's Fine Bird Books, 1700-1900.)

The prints are hand finished lithographs, which is considered to be a finer process than the later chromolithography.
